had no comebacks for the sheep poo but a lady has said she can give me llama poo i know its a bit of an odd one but can u see any reason why that would be a problem as a replacement for sheep poo?dont know if youd have any idea but this is my only garden forum so i just thot ide ask ;)

No idea. probably harmless - after all they just eat grass etc like other grazing animals.

With any animal manure you want to compost it down first. Otherwise it is too strong. Composting also would break down any possible harmful chemicals that might be in the poo.

I saw a post online once where someone had used fresh manure to create a hothouse of sorts to grow vegetables in late Scandinavian winter. First a big layer of fresh hot manure, then a layer of dirt. Surrounded by straw bales and covered by an old glass door. It was really impressive - he had basil growing with snow all around :) I guess I'd try that if I had a good enough supply of very fresh manure!
Just a hobby gardener, particularly interested in permaculture, organic gardening, etc.

Good stuff Hope this works out for you and Shelley. It can be a little intimidating at first, but it gets better.
