earwigs now?!

it seems i have another annoyin insect to add to the list,earwigs are in the chinese cabbages there are many black droppins that i assume are theirs and small holes in the leaves.is there an organic method of controlin these little pests,today is the first time i looked between the leaves for probs when i noticed the holes so dont kno how long they were there,so far ive used the chilli garlic soapy spray but have no idea if this will even help.

Earwigs are difficult to control, and they do like to hide in cabbages. You could try adding eucalyptus oil to the chilli/garlic/soap spray, I remember hearing somewhere that it is a repellent for earwigs.

Trapping earwigs and disposing of them is another option. Crumpled newspaper in an upturned pot will catch some. They like to rest in an enclosed place. Anotgher trap is a shallow dish of old cooking oil, or linseed oil. This will attract a few and drown them.
